Welcome to our first of many to come (hopefully) alumni updates. Our first installment focuses on class of 2015 Captain Josue Theosmy. Josue has turned his track career into a rugby one. He is currently a psychology major at Umass Lowell and plans on having a double minor in biology and criminal justice. He plays wing on the rugby team which is nationally ranked 37th in division 2. He is working as a team leader for the education organization Jumpstart where they assist and teach preschoolers.
We asked Josue how he felt that being part of CHS track and field prepared him for life post high school. He responded, “It helped me understand that persons level of success is measured the level of work they decide to put into something. It’s given me the mental toughness and taught me that I can do more than I thought I could ever do.”
When asked what his favorite moment was as part of the team her responded, “My favorite moment was beating Greater Lowell as a team for the first time in 2015”.
Some plans for post college are to work with organizations that help inner city at risk youths.
